My no.1 reason is the unique love story between a city boy and a country girl.

Although there are so many reasons it is my most favourite of all things I have watched so far( both 2D and 3D).

It was written that the comet was 40 meters, moved at 30 km/s, and left a crater that was 1km in diameter. In the show, it seemed like most people survived as they were closer to the School. Running a small and simulation that is very inaccurate, but accurate enough for its purpose, if something like that were to hit North East of Itomori lake, which is based on Lake Suwa, if it instead moved at speeds closer to 10 - 15 km/s, the perspective from the Junior High School South West of Lake Suwa and the general image of the impact itself would closely match that of the impact scene closer to the end of the movie. Hats off!
