Taki's diary reveals the amount of days that Taki and Mitsuha switched bodies and their exact dates.

The following timeline table lists events in Kimi no Na wa. with their known time and date. Due to erroneous inconsistencies, some events came with multiple known time.

History

1992	January 22		Miki Okudera was born
c. 1993			Toshiki came to Itomori for research and met Futaba. They fell in love and married.

2013

		7:25 am	Mitsuha turned the TV on, watching the news about Comet Tiamat.
		After that	Mitsuha went to school and met her friends.
		10:07 am	Yukari Yukino was teaching in her class.
		10:12 am	Yukari Yukino teased Mitsuha.
		12:41 pm	Mitsuha chatted with her friends, complaining about the boring rural life.
		Dusk	Tessie and Sayaka went to the vending machine. Mitsuha went home.
		Evening	Mitsuha was with her family.
			Mitsuha's and Tessie’s fathers had a drink.
		9:00 pm	Tessie was in his room
		After that	Mitsuha was performing the ritual, then yelled about her problems to gods.
	September 5		Mitsuha was possessed by Taki again.
		9:58 pm	Taki-possessed Mitsuha wrote an entry called “Living in the countryside” on Mitsuha’s diary.
	September 7		Mitsuha was possessed by Taki again.
		10:38 pm	Taki-possessed Mitsuha wrote an entry called “Living in the countryside 2” on Mitsuha’s diary.
	September 9		Mitsuha was possessed by Taki again.
		9:35 pm	Taki-possessed Mitsuha wrote an entry called “Living in the countryside 3” on Mitsuha’s diary.
	September 12		Mitsuha was possessed by Taki again.

	September 13	Morning	Mitsuha woke up, confused about the writing on her hand.
		After that	Mitsuha went to school, learned about the chaos she has done the day before.
		5:46 pm	Mitsuha checked her phone.
		Evening	Mitsuha ran back to her home, discovered about the body switching.
	September 16		Mitsuha was presumbly possessed by Taki again.
	September 19		Mitsuha was presumbly possessed by Taki again.
	September 20		Mitsuha presumbly continued to possess Taki.
	September 24		Mitsuha was presumbly possessed by Taki again.

		Morning	Mitsuha decided to go to Tokyo to meet Taki.
		Evening	Mitsuha met young Taki on a train, but he didn’t know who she is.
		Night	Mitsuha went back to Itomori and asked her grandmother to cut her hair.
	October 4	6:50 am		Taki-possessed Mitsuha woke up.
		7:26 am		Taki-possessed Mitsuha watched the news about the comet on TV.
		After that		Taki-possessed Mitsuha went to school and plotted with her friends a plan to evacuate the town.
		Afternoon		Taki-possessed Mitsuha failed to convince her father.
		After that		Taki-possessed Mitsuha ran to Kakuriyo.
		5:45 pm	Mitsuha received Tessie’s phone after skipping her class of that day.
		Twilight		Mitsuha and Taki met, switched back and had a brief conversation.
		After that	Mitsuha went to the festival to watch the comet.	Mitsuha ran to the power station, planted the bomb and ran back to the festival.
		Before 6:45 pm		The bomb exploded, destroyed the power station, entire town blacked out.
		Around 7:14 pm		Mitsuha and Tessie failed to convince people to evacuate so Mitsuha ran back to her father. The hall was still trying to find the cause of chaos.
		Around 7:49 pm (or 7:20 pm)	The comet began to break and fall.
		After that		Mitsuha reached her father. He ordered the town to evacuate in time.
		8:42 pm	Comet Tiamat crashed and destroyed Itomori. More than 500 people of Itomori, including Mitsuha, were killed.	Comet Tiamat crashed and destroyed Itomori. Because of Mitsuha's actions, everyone was safe.

2016

However, when Taki checks his phone on September 13, this entry does not appear. Since Taki writes this entry at the same time of day as when he writes “Part-time job” on September 4, it seems that this is a minor error. Taki wrote either “Second semester” or “Part-time job” but not both.
	September 3		Mitsuha presumably possessed Taki for the first time, of which she described as a dream of someone else’s life.
	September 4	10:37 pm	Taki wrote an entry called “Part-time job”.
	September 5	7:34 am	Mitsuha-possessed Taki woke up in confusion after his phone rang.
		8:45 am	Taki's father was watching the news on his tablet.
		8:52 am	Mitsuha-possessed Taki received a message from Tsukasa.
		9:32 am	Mitsuha-possessed Taki was checking the map on his phone to go to school.
		Noon	Mitsuha-possessed Taki arrived at his school, dragged to the roof for lunch by Tsukasa.

		After that	Miki arrived and they had a date.
		Dusk	Taki's date ended.
		5:23 pm	Taki re-read his diary in disappointment and tried to call Mitsuha.
		After that	Taki's call to Mitsuha failed and he went home.
	Days later		Taki continued his life, but still made drawings of Itomori from his memory.
	October 20	8:12 am	Shinta was recording a video message to Taki.
	October 21		Taki began his trip to find Itomori, unwelcomingly accompanied by Miki and Tsukasa.
		1:40 pm	Taki asked a taxi driver for information.
		1:56 pm	Taki checked the map on his phone while walking along a rice field.
		Afternoon	They had a meal at a ramen restaurant.
		Dusk	They were led to the impact site of Itomori.
		4:37 pm	Taki checked and witnessed Mitsuha’s diary disappeared on his phone.
		Evening	They arrived at Furukawa City Library for Taki to learn about the incident.
		Night	They stayed at a motel.
		10:11 pm	Taki was still reading newspaper, and checked his phone.
	October 22	Morning	Miki woke, discovered that Taki was gone.
		After that	Taki went searching for Kakuriyo.
12:42 pm		Taki was sheltering in a cave, checking his map and using lunch.
1:52 pm		Taki was in Kakuriyo and checked the Michukamizake bottles.
1:53 pm		Taki drank the sake and became unconscious as his mind traveled back in time.
Before sunset		Mitsuha woke up in Taki’s body, left Kakuriyo in confusion.
Twilight		Taki and Mitsuha met, switched back and had a brief conversation.
After twilight		Mitsuha disappeared back to her timeline. Taki yelled at nothingness.
October 23	Morning		Taki woke up on top of the crater, confused why he was there.

2021-2022
